About Us
The Jezreel Valley Music Center is a multicultural home for children, youth and adults - Jews and Arabs alike - from the entire northern region, which maintains rich and extensive musical activity in three main areas that enrich one another:
1) Playing and singing schools - where children learn to play an instrument in a group setting, play in ensembles and sing in a choir, as well as integrating into a music appreciation / active listening program. Furthermore, conferences take place at the Center, attended by orchestras, choirs and ensembles in which schoolchildren play and sing.
2) Regional Conservatory - in which students are taught in a wide array of Western and Eastern instruments by top-rate teachers from all over Israel. The regional conservatory offers weekly activities to representative performing troupes that appear on stage in schools, cultural events and national and international conferences. In addition, the Music Center offers a major in music for matriculation, attended by students from the entire northern region. The students learn solfege and harmony, music literature, the history of jazz, Arabic music, composition and are tested on their instrumental playing / singing.
